Two Coast Guard pilots in Alabama converted a helicopter they bought on Facebook into a luxury “helicamper.” Blake Morris and Maggie Morton started flipping the retired German military police and US military aircraft in September 2020.

She’s a lucky lady, indeed! A Baltimore health-care worker won $25,000 on a free lottery ticket. The unnamed nursing assistant took home the jackpot on a free Maryland Pick 5 ticket last week as part of a promotion. The single mother plans to save most of the cash and take her son on a shopping spree.

This ain’t no jive turkey. A patriotic bird is paying her respects to America’s fallen soldiers by joining funeral procession­s at Arlington National Cemetery.

Wildlife abounds at the 639-acre graveyard in Virginia, where the wild turkey recently followed an Army procession and paid her respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Filet of drugs, anyone? Pharmaceut­ical contaminan­ts have been discovered in the blood and tissues of bonefish in south Florida waters, according to a recent three-year study.

Researcher­s at Florida Internatio­nal University said all 93 bonefish sampled contained drugs such as blood-pressure medication­s, antidepres­sants and pain relievers. One fish had 17 different drugs in its system.

Stop and smell the roses, but don’t water your neighbors’ flowers.

That’s the lesson an Alabama pastor got upon being busted Sunday for the good deed. The Rev. Michael Jennings, of Childersbu­rg, got himself into the thorny situation after refusing to stop watering his neighbors’ roses while they were out of town. Jennings was charged with obstructin­g government­al operations.
