Weird BUT true

- Angela Barbuti, Wires

There was no order in this upstate court.

This week, Albany City Court was infiltrated by hundreds of cockroaches and had to close for fumigation.

The creepy critters were mysteriously released during an incident in which someone began filming an arraignment and wouldn’t stop, officials said. It’s unclear who released the roaches.

A group of filmmakers went ape over what they found while making a documentary on Bigfoot for the Travel Channel.

They are claiming to have footage of the legendary ape-man peering out from behind a tree.

This is one old-school artifact.

Researchers in the United Kingdom discovered that an inscription from an ancient Greek marble tablet that was sitting in a museum for more than 130 years could actually be part of a school yearbook.

“The inscription is a list of friends who went through the ephebate, a year of military and civic training for young men, together,” said a note on the translation of the tablet, published by Attic Inscriptions Online.

An Englishman got really hot and bothered over these chili cheese fries.

In East Sussex, England, a disgruntled restaurant guest caused such a raucous over his fry order that the police had to be called.

The 22-year-old complained that his dish, which was supposed to include beef chili, cheese sauce, sour cream and spring onions, was served with only one topping.

This unlikely friendship is as solid as a rock.

The Mars Perseverance rover befriended a “pet” rock and the two have become inseparable.

According to a camera on the rover, the rock ended up in its front wheel in early February. As a result, it has traveled 5.3 miles during the rover’s mission to explore Mars’ Jezero Crater.
