Weird BUT true

This could take remote work to new extremes.

A resident of Belgium was just elected mayor of a district in Tokyo — even though she lives more than 5,500 miles away.

Mayor-elect Satoko Kishimoto now has to decide if she will move back to Japan to return to the office. Kishimoto said she isn’t sure what to do because her children are still in school.

Even dogs get homesick. A Kansas couple dropped their dog off at a pet hotel before going on vacation to Las Vegas — and were stunned when they checked their home’s security camera and saw their pooch scraping at the door.

The pup, Dexter, somehow escaped from the pet hotel and ran home hoping his mom and dad would be there. The dog hotel employees rushed to the house and picked him up.

An Ed Sheeran look-alike had to be rescued by security at one of the singer’s concerts after fans thought he was the real deal.

Fans mobbed the clone and created a fire risk by congregating so intensely, according to a report.

Lucky for the double, security brought him to safety at the performance in Manchester, England.

A pair of bald eagles in Canada attacked a baby redtailed hawk and looked like they were about to eat it — before deciding to adopt it.

A livestream caught the moment in the British Columbia forest when the two eagles looked at the chick and decided to take it in as their own. Scientists say it’s a miracle the eagles’ sharp talons didn’t kill the baby hawk when picking it up.

No, it’s not a typo. The p.r. firm Edelman announced this week it hired a “ZEO” — a “Gen Z CEO.”

The agency said the new employee will help them understand the youngest generation and act as a “cultural and creative adviser.”

The company also hired a Gen Z COO, but stopped short of calling the position its ZOO.
