A fetus is the plaintiff in a South Korean lawsuit trying to clamp down on the country’s fossil-fuel emissions.

The parents and lawyers of the fetus say the country’s efforts to go green won’t do enough to protect the baby once it is born and grows old.

The lawyers also claim the country’s 2030 goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% is unconstitu­tional since it won’t do enough to protect the country’s right to life in a “healthy” environmen­t.
