Lights shine on Kam (not Joe)

-

PRESIDENT Biden is looking a little dim during the Festival of Lights, we’re told.

Page Six hears that POTUS and Vice President Kamala Harris planned “rival” parties to celebrate Diwali, and that Harris showed up her boss.

And sources say that influential members of the South Asian community are grumbling because Biden bumped them from his bash’s guest list in favor of buzzy “TikTok dancers and [online] influencers.”

Presidential administrations typically hold Diwali celebrations. But this year, with a vice president who has Indian heritage, the veep’s office hosted a separate function for the holiday.

“Kamala’s is the hot ticket because, first of all, Biden’s is on Diwali itself, which is insane,” said a source. “People want to be home with their families.”

The holiday — which is celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs — is Monday. Harris, who has Indian grandparents and keeps in touch with her family in their homeland, hosted her celebration on Friday.

“Second,” the source continued, “some very young person is obviously running the guest list for Biden, because they’ve decided to invite TikTok dancers and influencers, while the actual big donors and South Asian artists aren’t being invited.”

We’re told a number of Indian VIPs who have gotten White House invites in the past have been snubbed this time: “There are a lot of group texts in that community right now saying, ‘Can you believe this one got invited?’ or ‘Can you believe that one didn’t get invited?’ ”

And finally, we’re told, her party was considered more popping because Harris simply knows South Asians.

“People call Kamala Auntie. Of course hers is the party to be at,” said the insider, referring to a common term of affection for women in Indian culture.

Spokespeople for the White House and Harris’ office didn’t get back to us.
