24th-ranked Aggies upend No. 2 Alabama

Wade Taylor scored 28 points and No. 24 Texas A&M beat No. 2 Alabama, 67-61, Saturday in College Station, Texas, making its late free throws after Crimson Tide star Brandon Miller fouled out.

The loss snapped a fourgame winning streak for the Crimson Tide (26-5, 16-2 SEC). Alabama played the last two minutes against the Aggies (23-8, 15-3) minus Miller, who fouled out after scoring a team-leading 19 points.

UCLA 82, Arizona 73

In Los Angeles, Jaime Jaquez Jr. finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Tyger Campbell added 21 points as No. 4 UCLA (27-4, 18-2 Pac-12) beat No. 8 Arizona (25-6, 14-6).

Texas 75, Kansas 59

In Austin, Texas, Sir’Jabari Rice scored 23 points and a smothering defensive effort carried the No. 9 Longhorns (23-8, 12-6) to victory over the third-ranked Jayhawks (25-6, 13-5), earning Texas a secondplac­e finish in the Big 12.

In Waco, Texas, Jaren Holmes had 16 points and the Cyclones (18-12, 9-9 Big 12) ended a four-game losing streak against the No. 7 Bears (22-9, 11-7).

In Morgantown, W.Va., Erik Stevenson scored 27 points as the Mountainee­rs (18-13, 7-11 Big 12) gave their NCAA Tournament hopes a big boost against the 11th-ranked Wildcats (23-8, 11-7).

In Auburn, Ala., Wendell Green Jr. scored 24 points, and the Tigers (20-11, 10-8 SEC) strengthen­ed their bid for a spot in the NCAA Tournament against the No. 12 Volunteers (23-8, 12-6).

In Charlottes­ville, Va., Jayden Gardner and Armaan Franklin scored 16 points apiece, and the No. 13 Cavaliers (23-6, 15-5) clinched a share of the regular-season title in the ACC against the Cardinals (4-27, 2-18).

In Coral Gables, Fla., Wooga Poplar made a careerbest six 3-pointers for 18 points, and the 16th-ranked Hurricanes (24-6, 15-5) captured the No. 1 seed for the ACC Tournament against the No. 25 Panthers (21-10, 14-6).

In Washington, Frankie Policelli’s 30 points and 16 rebounds pushed the Seawolves (11-21, 6-12) past North Carolina A&T (13-19 8-10) and into the Colonial Athletic Associatio­n Tournament quarterfin­als against Charleston on Sunday.

In Washington, the Hawks (7-26) were ousted from the CAA Tournament thanks to 16 points from Amari Williams of the Dragons (17-14).

In Lawrencevi­lle, N.J., Daniss Jenkins scored seven of his 22 points in the final two minutes to help the Gaels (24-7, 17-3 MAAC) nip the Broncs (16-13, 13-7).

Saint Peter’s 73, Siena 72 (OT)

In Jersey City, Jayden Saddler scored 14 points as the Peacocks (12-17, 7-13 MAAC) edged the Saints (17-14, 11-9).
