Fore! score and several jeers ago...

- By TED HOLMLUND

Former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that he won the club tournament on his home course in Bedminster with an impressive score.

But Internet golf sleuths weren’t buying it.

“I am pleased to report, for those that care, that I just won the Senior Club Championship (must be over 50 years old!) at Bedminster (Trump National Golf Club), shooting a round of 67,” the 45th president of the United States posted Saturday.

“Now, some people will think that sounds low, but there is no hanky/lanky. Many people watch, plus I am surrounded by Secret Service Agents. Not much you can do even if you wanted to, and I don’t.

“For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete — I have won many Club championships, and it’s always a great honor!”

Trump, 77, was right in that regard, although many on X, previously known as Twitter, thought the new score “sounded low.”

“Has Trump ever won a golf tournament on a course he doesn’t own?” an X user called @Rschooley posted.

Another user believed the score — but questioned the hole count.

“Probably only played 12 holes,” @chefbissell posted. “I don’t understand how anyone believes this guy!”

In June, Trump was caught shanking a pitch shot at his Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles, and one X user brought the video back as a reminder.

More to weigh in on

It wasn’t the first time a Trump round of golf brought the Internet to a boil.

In January, Trump said he won the Senior Club Championship at the Trump International in Palm Beach, near his Mar-a-Lago estate.

But it also wasn’t even the first time this week that a Trump-related number sparked disbelief online.

The former leader lost 25 pounds — and gained an inch of height — since April, according to jail records filed Thursday after he surrendered to Fulton County authorities on charges related to his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.

The measurements for Trump, which were pre-reported, according to ABC News, indicated he was 215 pounds with a height of 6-foot-3 — 25 pounds lighter and one inch taller than when he was booked in Manhattan in April.

“215? That’s an insane lie,” tweeted Rick Wilson, cofounder of the anti-Trump Lincoln Project PAC.
