Trav: ‘It’s personal’
Travis Kelce says he’s keeping his relationship with Taylor Swift “personal.”
The Chiefs star tight end, who is in Germany for the NFL International game against the Dolphins on Nov. 5, was asked about his love life from an international reporter during a press conference Friday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington.
“International reporter waits until end of press conference to ask Kelce about Taylor Swift: ‘What is the latest status and are you in love?’” Darlington wrote on X. “Travis says the latest status is, ‘I got to see her last week.’
“Is he in love? ‘I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal,’ ” Darlington wrote.
Kelce has been open to questions about his personal life to an extent and has frequently discussed Swift on his “New Heights” podcast.
Romance ‘over/under’
Kelce was also asked if Swift would be in attendance for the European showdown.
“When I mention if she’s going to be at the game, the Vegas line and over/under on my catches goes up and down, the spread goes up and down, so I’m just going to keep that to myself,” Kelce said.
The Super Bowl champion is having fun with the media attention that his and Swift’s relationship has brought on.
He has cracked jokes and dishis cussed experience navigating paparazzi at press conferences, but rarely divulged details about their relationship.
Kelce and Swift were first linked in September, when she went to see him play a game against the Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.
Her appearance at the game nearly broke the Internet when Swifties saw her smiling ear-to-ear while cheering with Kelce’s mom, Donna, in a private suite.
The 12-time Grammy winner has attended four Chiefs games this season, where she’s been featured on the broadcast with Donna; Kelce’s dad, Ed; and Brittany Matthews, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
All dressed up
The Kelce-Swift craze has become an international pop culture phenomenon.
Fans and even pro athletes channeled the couple for Halloween this year, with NBA center DeAndre Jordan and tennis star Eugenie Bouchard put their own spins on a Kelce-Swift costume.
But there is one TikTok couple who caught Kelce’s attention with their costumes of him and Swift — a woman wearing an oversized map of the United States with Travis’ face on it while her partner dressed as the pop megastar. Kelce called the creative costumes “golden” on “New Heights.”
