Antisemitism at Colleges: Ivy Chiefs’ Lame Response
On Tuesday, the president of Harvard, Claudine Gay, as well as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Pennsylvania presidents, testified before Congress and confirmed that their defense of antisemitic rants is more forthcoming than their defense of Jews. How vile (“Big lie on campus,” Rikki Schlott, Dec. 6).
On Nov. 7, the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights had to issue a reminder to PreK-12 schools and institutions of higher education about their responsibility to combat antisemitism and Islamophobia.
These college presidents have failed to make good on that responsibility.

It’s funny to hear those university presidents essentially write off antisemitic rhetoric on college campuses as free speech protected by the First Amendment.
Try being a conservative speaker delivering a lecture at one of these universities. You would be labeled a racist and your words would be reduced to hate speech, disqualifying you from speaking at their schools.

Kudos to The Post for publishing Schlott’s article on how our campuses have become repositories of antisemitic hatred.
The left’s destructive ideologies have rendered campuses unsafe for Jewish students and faculty.
Remedial actions by deep-pocketed donors and the DOE pursuing Title VI complaints are necessary steps to addressing this serious problem.
Another necessary step would be a close examination of American universities accepting foreign donations. The higher-education sector has reported over $6.6 billion in donations from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Foreign money on American college campuses must come to an end.

Shame on the presidents of these once-great universities for their evasive responses to the House committee’s questions about hateful rhetoric leading to violence.
Do they fear retaliation from radical students?
Their school boards should reassess what “free speech” actually constitutes, as these three clearly refuse to do so.
