CONTROVERSIAL billionaire Elon Musk — who is currently embroiled in a custody battle with his musician ex Grimes — rang in the New Year with their 3-year-old son, XAE A-Xii (or X for short), in St. Barts.

The richest man in the world — Forbes estimates he’s worth $251 billion — tells us he was on the luxe Caribbean isle to visit a friend for a few days and that he “just spent time with family and close friends.”

“My son lil X was with me,” the owner of social media platform X told Page Six.

While a spy had mistakenly told us they spotted Musk dancing with his “arms in the air” at a party thrown by Palm Tree Crew and that he hung with Tom Brady and snowboarder Shaun White, he tells us that’s inaccurate. He said he actually went to a bash at WhatsApp founder Jan Koum’s house “for a few hours” on New Year’s Eve, but generally had a quiet time with friends and family.

“I do recall meeting Shaun White and Tom Brady briefly,” Musk tells us, but it wasn’t at the Palm Tree Crew soiree, he said.

Musk and Grimes have been locked in a contentious battle over X and their two other children, 2-year-old Exa Dark Siderael and 1-year-old Techno “Tau” Mechanicus.

The “Genesis” singer filed a “petition to establish parental relationship” in September in

California, which makes the court identify the legal parents of a child when they are unmarried. She had earlier pleaded with Musk to “let me see my son” on social media.

Just three days before Grimes filed, Musk had filed suit in Texas seeking to become the kids’ legal parent, claiming he has had “actual care, control, and possession of each child since the birth of each child,” and that the kids were living in the Lone Star State.

The former couple have been fighting it out ever since, battling over where to raise the kids and other matters.

The pair dated intermittently from 2018 until their split in March 2022.
