Biden’s borders of ‘mass destruct’

-

Former President Donald Trump hammered President Biden over the worsening migrant crisis Saturday, saying the US-Mexico border “has become a weapon of mass destruction — our destruction.”

“Our borders are open and gushing — it’s a big gushing wound,” Trump told supporters at a rally in Las Vegas as he turned his attention away from the Republican primary and toward November’s presidential election in the wake of his New Hampshire victory Tuesday.

“This is an invasion,” he said, pointing to the record 302,000 migrants who crossed into the US in December.

Biden and the Democrats “want open borders,” Trump declared. “It’s a betrayal of our country.”

He also denounced “disinformation” about a contentious Senate border deal facing opposition from House Republicans.

“Now Biden is trying to gaslight the American people into saying the border is the Republicans’ fault,” Trump griped.

“This so-called border security deal that Biden is pushing out is designed to continue the invasion of America while sending millions to Ukraine,” he charged.

Meanwhile, GOP presidential contender Nikki Haley took a swipe at Trump in the wake of the $83 million verdict he must pay for defaming writer E. Jean Carroll — saying the nation “can do better” than him.

“Donald Trump wants to be the presumptive Republican nominee and we’re talking about $83 million in damages,” Haley wrote on X shortly after the jury revealed the staggering penalty Friday.

“We’re not talking about fixing the border. We’re not talking about tackling inflation,” Trump’s onetime UN ambassador said. “America can do better than Donald Trump and Joe Biden.”

Haley returned to her home state of South Carolina on Saturday ahead of its Feb. 24 primary — in which she trails Trump by a 30-point margin, according to the RealClear Politics polling average.
