Trump’s clockwork orange

-

WHEN Donald Trump appeared in Manhattan federal court this past week, Trump watchers noticed his hair seemed to be a different shade — skewing more to light orange.

We hear his look is based on his own impatience. Said an insider: “The hairdressers get mad at him, but can’t show it, as Trump can’t sit still . . . He needs to sit still for at least 30 minutes for [his hair color] to take.”

The source added, “Trump’s hair color can vary wildly from dark blond to light — to bright orange — depending on how long his hairdresser can get him to sit still and let the color do its job.

“Friends say he’s so impatient that he rarely gives the stylist the 30 to 45 minutes . . . they need to keep his color consistent. The shorter time he gives them, the more orange his hair gets, as it takes time to get the darker blond locks he associates with his younger years,” the stylish source told us.

“The former president hates sitting with the dye on his hair, and is always rushing the hairdresser, thus his color can change every few weeks. And it gets lighter every time he washes it,” they added.

One fashion maven chimed in that many women can relate to the agony of sitting so long to get their locks lightened or colored.

We hear the ex-commander in chief ’s hair is part of a style overhaul as front-runner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

Said a source: “This includes everything from new pastel-colored ties — instead of the same solid red tie he’s made famous — to slimmer-cut suits to replacing the boxy style of the past to better show of his weight loss.

“The do-over also includes his hair . . . The makeover is intended to modernize and make his image more youthful as a contrast to [President] Biden, and to attract younger voters. His team wants a visual change of his image to show he’s different and not just the same Trump of 2016.” Reps did not comment.
