NHL: Lightning double up Devils

Brandon Hagel and Brayden Point each scored twice, and the Lightning won their seventh straight home game, beating the Devils, 6-3, in Tampa, Fla. Ondrej Palat, Jesper Bratt and Tyler Toffoli scored for the Devils as they played their final game before the All-Star break.

In Edmonton, Alberta, Connor McDavid had a goal and three assists, and the Oilers beat the Predators, 4-1, for their 16th straight win. The Oilers are one win away from tying the NHL record set by the 19921993 Penguins.

In Dallas, defenseman Thomas Harley scored at 3:27 of overtime for his second goal of the game to help the Stars win, 5-4, over the Capitals. NBA: Lakers beat Warriors in 2OT

LeBron James made a pair of free throws with 1.2 seconds left in the second overtime to cap his triple-double of 36 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists, outdueling Stephen Curry (46 points) as the Lakers held off the Warriors, 145-144, in San Francisco

In Dallas, the Kings won, 120-115, over the Mavericks as Luka Doncic had 28 points to go with 17 assists and 10 rebounds one night after scoring a franchise-record 73 points.

In Denver, Nikola Jokic had 26 points and 16 rebounds as the Nuggets held off the 76ers, 111-105. Sixers center Joel Embiid was ruled out after the team’s medical staff determined he shouldn’t play on his balky left knee.

In Boston, Kawhi Leonard scored 26 points in only 29 minutes as the Clippers routed the Celtics, 115-96.

MLB: Carrasco returns to Cleveland

Carlos Carrasco is circling back with the Guardians after the former Mets pitcher agreed to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training with the team, a person familiar with the negotiatio­ns told The Associated Press.

Former Mets pitcher Max Scherzer said Saturday during the Rangers’ annual FanFest that he is progressin­g from December surgery to repair a herniated disk in his lower back. Ex-Met Jacob deGrom said he plans to resume throwing this spring after undergoing elbow surgery last year.

GOLF: Pavon wins Farmers title

Matthieu Pavon made an 8-foot putt for a dramatic birdie on No. 18 at Torrey Pines South for a one-shot victory in the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego that made him the first Frenchman to win on the PGA Tour. His final-round, 3-under 69 put him at 13 under, one stroke better than Nicolai Hojgaard.
