NBA: Jokic bro being investigat­ed

The NBA and Denver police are looking into an incident in which a man reported to be one of the brothers of Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was seen punching a fan after the team’s buzzer-beating 101-99 victory over the Lakers on Monday in the NBA playoffs.

• In Milwaukee, Pascal Siakam scored 37 points and the Pacers overcame another fantastic first-half performanc­e from Damian Lillard to beat the Bucks 125-108 and tie their first-round playoff series . ... Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton said a fan directed a racial slur at his younger brother during Game 1.

• In Minneapoli­s, Jaden McDaniels scored 25 points for a playoff career best, leading the Timberwolv­es to a 105-93 victory over the Suns to take a 2-0 lead in their firstround series.

• In Los Angeles, Luka Doncic scored 32 points and the Mavericks overcame the return of superstar Kawhi Leonard to beat the Clippers 96-93.

• MLB: Cleveland matches best start José Ramírez homered in the eighth inning, Tyler Freeman and Bryan Rocchio had RBIs in the seventh when Cleveland finally got to Boston’s Tanner Houck and the Guardians kept up the best start in their 124-year history (17-6) with a 4-1 win over the Red Sox.

• In Cincinnati, Elly De La Cruz hit a tworun homer and the Reds ended the Phillies’ seven-game win streak with an 8-1 victory.

Shohei Ohtani hit a 450-foot homer into the second deck in right field in his first visit to Nationals Park, and the visiting Dodgers beat Washington 4-1.

In Anaheim, Calif., Mike Trout hit his first leadoff home run since 2012, and the Angels defeated the Orioles 7-4.
