Montgomery Media to host Bridal Showcase Event

If you’re getting married in 2013, this is your time to shine.

Once the calendar turns over, the planning process usually accelerates for those would-be brides planning their upcoming weddings.

And although July and August are historically the most popular months for weddings, the planning process — complete with all the anxiousness that comes along with the attention to all the details — begins months and months in advance.

Fortunately, Montgomery Media has just the thing for the bride and her planning posse: a big Bridal Showcase Event — featuring more than 20 exhibitors — that will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Presidential Caterers in Norristown.

“Our past bridal showcase events have generated a lot of local interest,” said Kristin Conran, director of sales for Montgomery Media. “I’m excited every year to see the faces of the brides who win the fabulous prizes, like the vacation to Riviera Maya.”

Many brides — sometimes with their perspective husbands in tow — are simply looking for ideas, and if so, wedding vendors will be on hand offering a variety of accessories and services, including: bridal dresses, evening wear and bridesmaids gowns from All About Bridal; and music and entertainment from Schaffer Sound Production and VIP DJ Entertainment.

Prospective brides will also get guidance on budgets, rings, invitations, food and photographers along with practical choices on aspects like the rehearsal dinner, the reception and even the honeymoon.

“We are kind of still in a recession proof business,” said Gus Mandracchia, owner of Presidential Caterers. “The brides get to meet not only Presidential but the other vendors they will need for that day. And we look forward to meeting new brides to be.”

There will be specials and giveaways throughout the evening. The grand prize giveaway is a fourday, three-night vacation at the hotel Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The trip is all-inclusive, including all meals and taxes, is valid for two people in a junior suite, and valued at $1,665.
