June Bishop

June (Heuckeroth) Bishop, 84, of Telford, Pa., passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown, Pa. She was the loving wife to the late Gilbert H. Bishop for 44 years.

June was born in nuakertown, Pa., to the late Chester and Anna (Kratz) Heuckeroth. She attended nuakertown public schools. June was employed as a waitress and a seamstress for Schoenemann Clothing Manufacturers, Souderton, Pa. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, flowers, reading and babysitting children and had a passion for animals. She was a member and song leader for East Rockhill Chapel, nuakertown, Pa.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary (Leslie) Stever, of Schwenksville, Pa., Susan (John.) Miller, of Perkasie, Pa., Carol Edelman, of Alburtis, Pa., and Terri Marie (Tom) Pace, of nuakertown, Pa.; a son, Gilbert (Bonnie) Bishop, of Perkasie, Pa.; stepson Jody (Sherry) Koch, of Coopersburg, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda A. Derstine; a great-granddaughter, Callahan Derstine; a sister, Elaine H. Young; and two brothers, Lester and Robert Heuckeroth.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA 18911. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Cemetery.
