•“Printed Textile Quilt” will be the topic for a family workshop 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Schwenkfel­der Library and Heritage Center, 105 Seminary Street, Pennsburg.

Each student will create a unique block print, then exchange prints with fellow students to make their own small wall hanging incorporat­ing designs by all the participan­ts.

• The Pearl S. Buck Internatio­nal Mabel Lew Scholarshi­p Program is accepting applicatio­ns through March 1.

The scholarshi­p is open to any person adopted through the Welcome House Adoption Program of Pearl S. Buck Internatio­nal, who will matriculat­e in a four-year undergradu­ate program in the 2013-2014 academic year.

A $5,000 one-time scholarshi­p will be awarded.

• The Science & Nature Club, for boys and girls six through 12, meets 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 29, Feb. 26, March 26, April 23, May 28 and a June date to be determined at Nockamixon State Park.

Planned activities (subject to change due to weather) include water science, making Toad Abodes, geocaching and pond prowling.

There is a $30 suggested donation per child, due the day of the first program. Pre-registrati­on is required. Children who attend all the programs will receive a certificat­e and badge.
