•“Printed Textile Quilt” will be the topic for a family workshop 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, 105 Seminary Street, Pennsburg.
Each student will create a unique block print, then exchange prints with fellow students to make their own small wall hanging incorporating designs by all the participants.

• The Pearl S. Buck International Mabel Lew Scholarship Program is accepting applications through March 1.
The scholarship is open to any person adopted through the Welcome House Adoption Program of Pearl S. Buck International, who will matriculate in a four-year undergraduate program in the 2013-2014 academic year.
A $5,000 one-time scholarship will be awarded.

• The Science & Nature Club, for boys and girls six through 12, meets 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 29, Feb. 26, March 26, April 23, May 28 and a June date to be determined at Nockamixon State Park.
Planned activities (subject to change due to weather) include water science, making Toad Abodes, geocaching and pond prowling.
There is a $30 suggested donation per child, due the day of the first program. Pre-registration is required. Children who attend all the programs will receive a certificate and badge.
