Bastille Day Bedlam

Nice, France—police inspect the scene where a truck mowed down a crowd during Bastille Day celebrations on July 14. At least 84 people died, and over 200 were injured. French police shot and killed the attacker, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, who was born in Tunisia and moved to France more than a decade ago. No group initially claimed responsibility, and Bouhlel was not on France’s list of suspected radicals. It was the third attack in that country in the past 19 months, and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said, “The times have changed, and France is going to have to live with terrorism.”
