Homes, vehicles burglarized while victims slept
Money taken from vehicles, purses, wallets sometime during the night
Several overnight burglaries were reported in Ruscombmanor Township on Feb. 6. Victims were asleep while someone entered their homes and vehicles to take money.
State Police Reading report that a Ruscombmanor Township couple, ages 44 and 43, awoke on Feb. 6 at 5:50 a.m. to find that sometime during the night someone had entered their home on Ronald Glenn Avenue while they were sleeping. Money was found missing from a purse and wallet. A vehicle, which was parked in their garage, was also entered and
money was taken.
At a home in Ruscombmanor Township on Sandhill Road, police report that two women, ages 55 and 18, awoke on Feb. 6 at 5:15 a.m. to find that sometime during the night someone had entered their home while they were sleeping. Their purses were missing from the house. The purses were later found outside but money was missing from them.
Also, a Ruscombmanor Township couple, ages 37 and 36, awoke on Feb. 6 at 6:50 a.m. to find that sometime during the night, someone had entered their vehicles parked on Sandhill Road. Money had been taken.
State Police Reading also reported a home burglary on Feb. 7 on Treichler Road, District Township, occurred sometime during the night. Someone forced entry into the home through a bedroom window of the residence, then removed jewelry from the bedroom and fled the scene in an unknown direction. A maroon sedan of unknown make and model may be involved.
