This program will be held in the Bandshell at the Kutztown Park. Spend 3 hours seeing expansive collection of Revolutionary-era weapons, personal items, documents and works of art in this new Philadelphia museum. AREA EVENTS July 29 3rd annual Kutztown Kruizz: Main Street Kutztown will turn back in time Saturday, July 29. Beautifully restored classic cars, food and craft vendors and local bands will liven up downtown from noon until 5 p.m. followed by a concert by the Fabulous Grease Band in the Kutztown Park bandshell at 7 p.m. Each year, the Kruizz grows as its reputation spreads. Kutztown Thriving’s rain barrel auction winners will be announced at the Kruizz. It will be the last time and location to place a bid. This Kruizz year’s sponsors: Pop’s Malt Shoppe, Business Link Print, Pack, and Ship, Halye’s Automotive Domino’s Pizza. August 7 (order by July 30) Pioneer Grange Topton: Ham & Cheese and Turkey & Cheese Sandwich Sale, $3.50: orders due by July 30.. Pickup at the grange hall Aug. 7 from 3-5pm. July 30 Philharmonic Band concert: The Fleetwood American Legion Post 625 is sponsoring a concert by the Philharmonic Band on Sunday July 30 at 6 p.m. in the Fleetwood Park. The band was started in Reading in 1903, but has been in Fleetwood for the last 38 years. Refreshments are available at 5 p.m. The rain date is Monday July 31. The band is conducted by Jay A. Smith, lifelong resident of Fleetwood. Aug. 5 Picnic & Music by Sixty-30 band: Performing Beatles, Roy Orbison, Four Seasons/etc. Music 5-8, food 4-8 at St. Peter’s UCC of Molltown, 219 Maidencreek Rd., Fleetwood. Rain or shine. 610-944-9418 Aug. 12 Tri Valley YMCA 70th Anniversary Celebration, YMCA Advocacy Day: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 12 at the Tri Valley YMCA of Reading & Berks County, 607 Crisscross Road in Fleetwood. Visit with elected officials, Bloodmobile, watch group exercise demos, meet personal trainer, giveaways and Try the Y guest passes. Register for fall programs including child care (full day and before and after school), fall sports, meet our board members, participate in activities to win raffle prizes, meet current and former board members, volunteers and staff. Tri Valley YMCA service area includes Hamburg, Kutztown, Oley, Brandywine, and Schuylkill Valley School Districts. Through Aug. 23 Village Volleyball: in the village of Huff’s Church (across street from Huff’s Union Church building, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis). Every Wednesday from June 21 through Aug. 23 (weather permitting) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Relaxed recreational volleyball. Church provides the place, net, ball, cold water (bring your water bottle to fill) and bathrooms. All ages; minimum of 2 persons needed to start a game. If no one shows by 7 p.m., we will assume the evening is cancelled. Public is welcome.
