Rep. Dent presented Problem Solvers Award

- From Dent’s Office

The Association of Former Members of Congress presented Rep. Charlie Dent (PA-15) with their Problem Solvers Award in March, recognizing his efforts on behalf of bipartisanship and his leadership. It’s the first time the group has bestowed the honor.

“I’m greatly honored by the FMC’s generous recognition. I believe that working in a bipartisan manner can provide the commonsense solutions necessary to deliver results for the American People and to prevent the continued fracturing of the national body politic,” said Dent. “I’m humbled that the organization decided to name me as the first recipient of The Problem Solvers Award,” he added.

“Charlie Dent has exemplified the ideals of the FMC: bipartisanship, a commitment to solutions over hyper-partisanship, and identifying common ground to move the country forward,” said Pete Weichlein, CEO of FMC, The Association of Former Members of Congress. “Those ideals make him an outstanding legislator and representative for his district. We are absolutely thrilled to present to Charlie Dent our first ever Problem Solvers Award. As a Penn State grad myself, I’m particularly excited to recognize one of our best.”

Dent has served as the co-Chair of the Congressional Study Group on Germany, one of four nonpartisan, non-advocacy Congressional Study Groups under the umbrella of FMC. Dent will be retiring from Congress this year. He is currently serving his seventh term.
