Andrea Funk, former CEO of CambridgeLee, speaks at Chamber Dinner
Member of Year Award presented in memory of late Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz, former East Penn CEO
The Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce will host its first Chamber Dinner at Kutztown University on May 17, featuring Andrea Funk, former CEO of Cambridge-Lee Industries, as keynote speaker to address “What Makes a Company Successful?”
East Penn Manufacturing is the Title Sponsor. A 2017 Member of the Year Award, recognizing a chamber member, will be presented in memory of the late Sally Breidegam Miksiewicz, former East Penn Manufacturing CEO.
“The Award will commemorate Sally’s remarkable career and philanthropy. Inviting Andrea Funk, whose resume includes woman CEO, to address chamber dinner guests is yet another nod to Sally’s legacy,” according to Mary Fran Bachman, chair of the chamber dinner planning committee and an associate agent at Spotts Insurance Group, Flying Hills.
Fifteen chamber members have been nominated to date for the annual Award. Berks Schuylkill SCORE will partner with the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce, as it has annually for the September Shining Star Awards, to coordinate the judging process.
According to SCORE President Alyse Mitten, owner of Interlace Communications, Inc., “Our team of mentors with Berks Schuylkill SCORE have found it very rewarding and an honor, to say the least, to have the opportunity to judge the Shining Star Awards for the Northeast Berks Chamber of Commerce. The caliber of the individuals who are nominated exemplifies the dedication they have to their businesses, as well as to their communities. This year, for the Chamber Dinner, we will evaluate nominees for the 2017 Member of the Year Award.”
SCORE will rank the top three candidates to determine the ultimate award recipient.
