Mohrsville author’s new book helps children cope with death

- From Crave Press

Mohrsville author M.A. Kunkle published her first children’s book “Aaron and Savannah Want to Visit Daddy in Heaven” with Crave Press of Leesport in March.

This book is the story of Aaron and Savanah Monkey who, after the death of their father, are trying to cope with their sadness and why they can’t go and see him. Their pursuit to find a way to heaven is tiresome and adds to their mix of emotions. It isn’t until they return home that mommy explains that their love for him will always be in their hearts.

Kunkle is the proud mother of two and the proud aunt to a number of children. She started writing children’s books for her niece and nephew, Aaron and Savannah, while the family was going through some tough times.

Kunkle is a lifelong resident of Berks County and has spent the last 20 years as a senior computer programmer/analyst. When she is not working or writing, she enjoys spending time with her children, volunteering at her local library, reading, and doing crafts.

Her favorite authors include Eva Ibbotson, Rick Riodan, Ridley Pearson, John Grisham, Michael Crichton, and Norton Juster.

The book will be available via online book retailers. Ordering information is available at http://cravepress.com/daddymonkey. html.
