BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS Baseball

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 11, ANTIETAM 1 >> At Pennside April 8, John Harrison had a double, two walks, three RBI and two runs to lead the Bullets over the Mounts.

Aaron Jarrett was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs for Brandywine and Chase Renner picked up the win, striking out 11 in four innings.

TULPEHOCKE­N 4, BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 2 >> At New Schaeffers­town April 10, Lucas Forry hit a tw-run double to break a scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth and Josh Nielsen added a two-run single to lift the Trojans over the Bullets (1-2, 3-3).

Brody Graff doubled in two runs in the top of the seventh before Riley Kiebach closed it out. Kiebach threw a complete game, one-hitter, striking out eight and allowing two unearned runs.

Softball

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 16, ANTIETAM 1 >> At Mertztown April 8, Jessica Davidheise­r hit a triple and picked up the pitching victory for the Bullets.

Nicole Longacre hit a grand slam, Meghann Schuster hit a home run, and Haley Hertzog added a triple as Brandywine defeated the Mounts in three innings.

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 11, TULPEHOCKE­N 1 >> At Mertztown April 10, Jessica Davidheise­r struck out 13, Lauren Hertzog hit two home runs, Amanda Geisinger was 3-4 with a double, triple, home run and three runs scored, Erika DeLong was 3-3 with three RBIs, and A’nayah Jones was 2-3 to lead the Bullets(3-0, 4-3) past the Trojans (1-2, 1-6).

Chesney Bredbenner had a hit and an RBI for Tulpehocke­n.

Boys tennis

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 6, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY1>> At Leesport April 8, a sweep of the singles bracket fueled the Bullets’ victory over the Panthers.

Noah Herman and Luca Jordach figured in on three of Brandywine’s points, teaming up at first doubles after winning their respective first- and third-singles contests. SV’s point came from Elijah Cline and Luke Jozwiak at second doubles.

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 4, KUTZTOWN 3 >> At Kutztown April 11, a sweep of the doubles bracket lifted the Bullets over the Cougars.

Andy Ludwig and Michael Saxton were winners in singles and doubles play for Brandywine. Nick Perella gave Kutztown wins in both singles and doubles.

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 5, FLEETWOOD 2 >> At Mertztown April 13, the Bullets took four of five singles matches to secure the team victory over the Tigers.

Noah Hermany and Andy Ludwig accounted for three of Brandywine’s points, winning their respective first- and second-singles matches before teaming up for victory at first doubles. Lucas Strange contribute­d two points to Fleetwood’s scoring.

Boys volleyball

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 3, WYOMISSING 1>> At Wyomissing April 8, the Bullets won sets 25-19, 25-21 and 25-19 while the Spartans went 25-23 in the third.

Matt Staurosky had 33 assists, three aces and three digs for Brandywine, which saw Jimmy Ludwig with 11 digs, 10 kills and two aces; and Aaron Olsen with 10 kills, an ace and a dig. Dominic Flowers had six kills and two blocks, Dan Moser had eight kills and seven blocks; and Mason Mair had five kills and three blocks for Wyo.

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 3, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY0>> At Leesport April 9, the Bullets swept their match with the Panthers by set scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-12.

Jimmy Ludwig had 11 kills, an ac and 10 digs, Matt Staurowsky had 34 assists and a dig and Aaron Olsen had five kills, four aces and eight digs for Brandywine. Logan Downey had four kills and eight digs, Jake Hoffman had three kills and one block and Caleb Miller had five kills and five digs for SV.

BRANDYWINE HEIGHTS 3, KUTZTOWN 0 >> At Kutztown April 11, the Bullets swept their match with the Cougars by set scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-15.

Miles Lyon had 10 kills, 3 aces, and six digs; Matt Staurowski had 31 assists, and Jimmy Ludwig had 11 kills and 15 digs to lead SV.

FLEETWOOD Baseball

TWIN VALLEY 8, FLEETWOOD 1 >> At Geigertown April 8, Trevor Laraia struck out four in a complete game as the Raiders defeated the Tigers.

Jared Jones had three hits, two runs and two RBI to lead a Twin Valley offense that saw each starter get a hit. FLEETWOOD 15, BERKS CATHOLIC 4 >> At Forino Sports Complex April 10, Adam Schultz went 4-for-4 with three triples and four RBI to power the Tigers past the Saints. Fleetwood broke it open with 10 runs in the sixth inning. Brendan Long and German Vasquez-Martes each had two hits for Berks Catholic.

OLEY VALLEY 14, FLEETWOOD 4 >> At Fleetwood April 11, Gavin Troutman went 2-for-4 with a triple, double and two RBI and scored twice as the Lynx beat the Tigers in five innings.

Andy Loeper doubled twice, scored twice and knocked in one run for Oley and Eddie Standhardt was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. For Fleetwood, Cole Cromer was 3-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored and Adam Schultz tripled.

Softball

FLEETWOOD 2, DANIEL BOONE 1 >> At Fleetwood April 8, Kylee Paules singled in Tahner Gehringer for the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth as the Tigers knocked off the Blazers.

Chaera Frederick hit a home run in the second inning and Steph Hegedus was 2-for-3 with a double for Fleetwood. FLEETWOOD 18, BERKS CATHOLIC 8 >> At Fleetwood April 10, Steph Hegedus was 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead a strong offensive effort as the Tigers defeated the Saints.

Tahner Gehringer was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two steals, Megan Brattley was 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs and Kylee Paules 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Fleetwood. Abigail Atkins homered for Berks Catholic.

FLEETWOOD 18, OLEY VALLEY 13 >> At Oley April 11, Megan Brattley belted a threerun home run to highlight a six-run 10th inning as the Tigers (4-5) outlasted the Lynx (4-4). Brattley also tripled, singled and drove in four runs for Fleetwood, and Stephanie Hegedus went 5-for-5 with a home run, triple and five RBIs. For Oley Valley, Cassidy Drobek had a triple and four singles and Erinn Messner had a double, three singles and four RBIs.

Boys tennis

FLEETWOOD 6, HAMBURG 1 >> At Hamburg April 11, the Tigers won four of five singles on the way to victory over the Hawks.

Matt Dybowski had Fleetwood’s best individual showing, a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles. Brandon Young scored Hamburg’s lone point at fifth singles.

Boys track

FLEETWOOD 94, BERKS CATHOLIC 56 >> At Forino Sports Complex April 9, the Tigers got two-win outings from Haydyn Zagorski, Kevin Bartosh and Jon Hope in their meet with the Saints.

Zagorski got his firsts in the 200 (24.08) and 400 (52.56). Bartosh took the 110 high hurdles (16.56) and javelin (1608), and Hope won out in the long jump (19-3) and triple jump (39-2 ½).

Girls track

BERKS CATHOLIC 104, FLEETWOOD 45 >> At Forino Sports Complex April 9, Faith Herndon was a two-event winner for the Tigers in their meet with the Saints.

Herndon won the triple jump with a 33-1 effort, and the high jump by clearing the bar at 5-10.

Boys volleyball

BERKS CATHOLIC 3, FLEETWOOD 0 >> At Wolf Gymnasium April 8, the Saints swept their match with the Tigers by set scores of 25-17, 25-7 and 25-19.

For the Tigers, Owen Magers had four aces and Isaac Diesher had four kills. Ethan Stoney had nine kills, three blocks and six aces, Colin Balash had 13 digs and seven aces, Owen Wolfe had 10 kills and Steve Brennan had three aces and 25 assists for Berks Catholic.

GOV. MIFFLIN 3, FLEETWOOD 0 >> At Fleetwood April 9, the Mustangs won their match with the Tigers by set scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-13.

Vince Moore had five kills and five aces, Dylan Klahr four kills and Mel Ettiene five kills and three digs to lead Mifflin. Issac Deisher had four kills and Anthony Penazola two kills and four digs for Fleetwood.

EXETER 3, FLEETWOOD 0 >> At Reiffton April 11, the Eagles won their match with the Tigers by set scores of 25-5, 25-6 and 25-12.

Jimmy Murray had 14 assists and one block; Chase Sturz had 10 kills, two aces and three digs; Jason Garvin had five kills, one ace, and two digs; and Reese Ganter had seven aces, to lead Exeter.

HAMBURG Baseball

CONRAD WEISER 4, HAMBURG 1 >> At Hamburg April 8, Drew Druckenmil­ler pitched a complete game, scattering six hits and striking out two as the Scouts handed the Hawks their first loss.

Gabe Trevena was 1-for-1 with an RBI for Weiser.

HAMBURG 7, WYOMISSING 2 >> At Wyomissing April 11, Jared Sterner pitched a three-hitter and allowed just one earned run to lead the Hawks over the Spartans.

Brady Adams had a double and three RBIs to lead Hamburg. For Wyomissing, Roberto Velez tripled and scored a run and Nathan Koenig had an RBI double.

Softball

HAMBURG 14, CONRAD WEISER 1 >> At Robesonia April 8, Halle Gerner struck out nine in six one-hit innings and Alison Gassert was 3-for-4 with a double and a home run to lead the Hawks over the Scouts.

Jenna Price homered for Weiser. HAMBURG 7, POTTSVILLE 3 >> At Hamburg April 9, Avrie Schiffert went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI to head the Hawks’ victory over the Crimson Tide.

Felicity Munoz went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI; Kelsi Behler went 2-for-3 with an RBI; and winning pitcher Haley Gravish had six strikeouts and hit a double for Hamburg.

HAMBURG 14, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 3 >> At Hamburg April 11, The Hawks (3-0, 5-4) had 5 doubles and 5 triples in their win over the Panthers (1-2, 2-5). Halle Gerner was the winning pitcher.

Macy Zimmerman hit a home run for the Panthers.

Boys tennis

BERKS CATHOLIC 7, HAMBURG 0 >> At Hamburg April 8, the Hawks extended the Saints to a third set in one singles match of their Berks Conference match.

Hamburg’s best individual showing came at fourth singles, where Aaron Hix forced Anthony Chan to a third set. CONRAD WEISER 7, HAMBURG 0 >> At Sinking Spring YMCA April 12, the Scouts won every match of their duel with the Hawks in two sets.

Hamburg’s best individual showing came at fifth singles, where Nick Hix won five games from Mark Yazemboski.

Boys track

HAMBURG 78, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 67 >> At Leesport April 9, Andrew Galarza and Alex Blatt each won three individual events to lead the Hawks in their meet with the Panthers.

Blatt took the 110 high (16.45) and 300 intermedia­te hurdles (42.27) along with the long jump (20-3), and Galarza won the 100 (11.89) and 200 (22.89, Luke Seymour was a double-winner for SV in the 1,600 (4:55) and high jump (5-4),

Girls track

HAMBURG 74, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 72 >> At At Leesport April 9, the three-win outings of Madison Ziska and Ashlyn Giles weren’t enough to lift the Panthers to victory in a close meet with the Hawks.

Ziska got her firsts in the 100 (12.7), 200 (26.7) and 400 (1:00.95), with Giles doing the same in the shot put (34-5 ½), discus (109-5) and javelin (80-11). Alicia Gough gave Hamburg a sweep of the hurdles, the 100s in 17.1 and the 300s in 52.9.

KUTZTOWN Baseball

KUTZTOWN 8, OLEY VALLEY 3 >> At Kutztown April 8, Ryan Brauer, Dylan Moyer and Lewis Weaver had doubles to lead the Cougars past the Lynx.

Gavin Troutman had a double for Oley. KUTZTOWN 9, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY >> At Leesport April 10, Connor O’Neill collected three hits, winning pitcher Trevor Leveringto­n had five strikeouts in four innings and the Cougars (3-0, 5-1) knocked off the Panthers (2-1, 3-4).

Mason Gabel and Javier Hernandez each had two hits for Schuylkill Valley.

KUTZTOWN 18, CONRAD WEISER 8 >> At Kutztown April 11, Dylan Moyer hit a tworun homer in a nine-run fourth inning to lead the Cougars over the Scouts.

Moyer went 2-for-3 and also hit a double, Alex Graff was 3-for-4 with four runs scored, Trevor Leveringto­n went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Ryan Brauer was 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Kutztown. For Conrad Weiser, Gabe Trevena went 3-for-3 with a triple.

KUTZTOWN 1, BOILING SPRINGS 0 >> At New Oxford April 13, Trevor Leveringto­n allowed two hits and struck out eight as the Cougars (7-2) won their second game of the New Oxford Tournament over the Bubblers.

KUTZTOWN 10, OLEY VALLEY 7 >> At Kutztown April 8, Brianna Stauffer was 2-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBI and Lily Zimmerman was 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Cougars defeated the Lynx.

Sara Hoover was 3-for-4 with an RBI and run and Cassidy Kauffman was 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI for Oley.

KUTZTOWN 17, WYOMISSING 1 >> At Kutztown April 10, Caitlyn Lubak went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs and Brianna Stauffer went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs as the Cougars beat the Spartans in three innings.

Boys tennis

WYOMISSING 7, KUTZTOWN 0 >> At Wyomissing April 8, Jake Sharadin had the best individual effort for the Cougars in their match with the Spartans.

Sharadin accounted for the two games Kutztown won, getting at fourth singles and the other in tandem with Steven Reiss at first doubles.

KUTZTOWN 7, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 0 >> At Kutztown April 10, the Cougars’ Nick Weber had their best individual effort in their win over the Panthers.

Weber won at first singles 6-0, 6-0, then teamed with Jake Sharadin to prevail at first doubles. SV’s best individual showing came at second singles, where Elijah Cline extended his match with Owen Kulp to three sets.

KUTZTOWN 96, TULPEHOCKE­N 52 >> At Kutztown April 9, Lucas Floyd won the long jump and the high jump for the Cougars.

Zach Risser took first in the 100 and 200 for the Trojans.

Girls track

KUTZTOWN 104, TULPEHOCKE­N 39 >> At Kutztown April 9, Marley Turbett (100 and 300 hurdles) and Madison Keiser (1600, 3200) were double winners for the Cougars.

Clara Hardick won shot put and discus for the Trojans.

Boys volleyball

BERKS CATHOLIC 3, KUTZTOWN 1 >> At Wolf Gymnasium April 9, the Saints won by set scores of 25-10, 25-12 and 31-29 after the Cougars took the second set.

For Kutztown, Dan Luckenbill had 16 kills, 11 digs and three aces and Ethan Sanner had 23 assists, three kills and five digs. Ethan Stoney had 19 kills, five digs, three blocks and three aces; Steve Brennan had 38 assists, three aces and three digs; Colin Balash had 31 digs and three aces; and Austin Picaso had 10 digs, four aces and one block for Berks Catholic.

SCHUYLKILL VALLEY Baseball

SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 6, TULPEHOCKE­N 0 >> At Leesport April 8, Mason Gabel pitched a two-hit shutout to lift the Panthers over the Trojans.

EXETER 14, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 9 >> At Reiffton April 9, Blaise Botley had two goals and four assists and Jason Metz had four goals and an assist to lead the Eagles over the Panthers.

Tyler Siglin had seven goals and an assist for Schuylkill Valley.

NEW OXFORD 9, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 6 >> At New Oxford April 13, Tyler Siglin scored three goals and Jordi Farr had a goal and two assists for the Panthers in the loss to the Colonials in the New Oxford tournament.

SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 14, DANVILLE 8 >> At New Oxford April 13, Tyler Siglin had eight goals and an assist to lead the Panthers (1-7) to their first win of the season over Danville.

Jordi Farr kicked in two goals and one assist to the SV offense.

Girls lacrosse

GOV. MIFFLIN 20, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 2 >> At Shillingto­n April 11, Hannah Stanislawc­zyk and Mia Beilhart each had three goals and two assists to lead the Mustangs over the Panthers (0-4, 3-6).

Ashley Birmingham and Megan Miley each had a goal for Schuylkill Valley.

SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 11, BERKS CATHOLIC 4>> At Forino Sports Complex April 8, Macy Zimmerman had three doubles and earned the win on the mound as the Panthers defeated the Saints.

Carly Fogelman had two doubles for Schuylkill Valley. Emma Carr and Alyssa Johnson doubled for Berks Catholic.

GOV. MIFFLIN 5, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY 0 >> At Shillingto­n April 13, Elijah Cline scored the Panthers’ lone game win at second singles in their match with the Mustangs. Wyomissing 7, Schuylkill Valley 0 >> At Shillingto­n April 13, William Stephenson and Trevor Teprovich had the Panthers’ best individual showing in their match with the Spartans.

Stephenson and Teprovich won two games at second doubles.
