6 to 9 p.m. in Kutztown Borough. There will not be a Merchant Night this year.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show: 9:30 p.m. at the Hamburg Strand Theater, doors open at 9:15 p.m. Features shadow cast. Prop bags available for $2, no outside bags permitted. Tickets are $20 at the theater or hamburgstrand.org.

Hamburg Borough Trickor-Treat Night: 6 to 8 p.m. Pine Street between South 4th Street and South 3rd Street will be closed to traffic.
Hamburg Area Historical Society program: 7 p.m. at Hamburg Area High School, LGI room. Lee Heffner and Pat Donmoyer present their book, “Milt Hill, Painter of Barn Stars.” Books available for sale.

Fall Hoe Down: Doors open 6 p.m., hoe down 7 to 9 p.m. at Fleetwood Grange, 2864 Moselem Springs Road, Fleetwood. Bad weather date Nov. 5. Benefit for the construction costs on the new Fleetwood Area Public Library. Food available for purchase. Music and caller provided by Days of Old. Admission is by donation at door.

Leesport Area Historical Society Museum Open House: from 1 to 4 p.m. at 128 Main St., Leesport. Visit the four-room schoolhouse which served the Leesport community from 1858 until 1961. See regional and local artifacts including a 1700s Quaker marriage certificate and visit a classroom circa 1940s.

Annual Brandywine Heights Area School District Veterans Day Program and Luncheon: held at middle school. Veteran Q&A session with students, patriotic displays, hospitality room, therapy dogs, Patriot Award presentation, assembly, free luncheon for veterans. Collecting photos of veterans in military uniform at time of service (include branch and years of service if possible) to display. Submit digital copies to Nikki Konyak at nickon@bhasd.org. Shrek the Musical for Senior Citizens: at Kutztown Area High School, 50 Trexler Ave., Kutztown. Dinner provided free to the first 150 senior citizens. Cafeteria doors will open at 4:30p.m. Reservations for dinner are highly recommended. A preview show will follow at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. Senior citizens may attend the show only, without dinner. Ready.Set.READ! Program: Volunteers are needed to tutor 2nd grade students who need extra support with reading at Kutztown Elementary School and GreenwichLenhartsville Elementary School on Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. during the 2022-2023 school year. No previous teaching experience is required. This opportunity is for anyone interested in volunteering weekly for one hour. Current background clearances are required and training provided. Berks Opera Company: Auditions for 2023 production of “L’Enfant et les Sortileges” and “Gianni Schicchi” set for Nov. 26. Lauretta, Rinuccio and Gianni Schicchi are cast; all other roles are available. Both works will be performed in English.
