KTown Hall hosts free Coworking Day April 26
Shared workspace welcomes local professionals, hosts networking happy hour
kTown Hall Coworking, located at 277 Fair St. in Kutztown, opens its doors for a free Coworking Day on Friday, April 26.
“Join us at kTown Hall to try coworking,” Anne Timpe, community director of kTown Hall, said in a press release. “Whether you’re looking for a change from your home office or just want to connect with other remote professionals and entrepreneurs, we invite you to come out and work at kTown Hall for the day.”
Doors open at 8 a.m., but attendees can arrive any time. Free Coworking Day will conclude with a networking happy hour from 4 to 5 p.m. to give guests and members a chance to mingle over food and beverages.
Coworking allows freelancers, remote workers, small business owners, or anyone without a traditional office to share a common workspace without being committed to a long term lease. Although coworking existed before the pandemic, it has become widespread with more positions becoming remote.
A membership-based coworking office space located in the old Kutztown Town Hall building, kTown Hall Coworking provides high speed internet and a comfortable, professional space to make connections and mix up a remote work routine, as well as private areas to take phone calls or virtual meetings.
With several membership options ranging from day passes to a permanent desk with 24/7 access, kTown Hall offers the flexibility to customize the best work environment. Memberships can be adjusted on a month-to-month basis to suit an individual’s or business’s needs.
kTown Hall Coworking also features an AV-enabled conference room that can be reserved by members, community groups, or remote teams who occasionally need to gather for meetings, training, or new hire orientations.
“Remote work has many benefits, but it can be isolating,”
Timpe said. “Many members have come to us because they wanted to be around other professionals, but still retain the flexibility they enjoy so much. Not only do we provide a comfortable office space, but we’re also building a community. Members learn from each other and
have a chance to discuss their personal and professional interests. We’ve also had several members share leads and collaborate.”
