4 die in accidents on roads in state

Four people died in vehicle accidents on Arkansas roadways Saturday, according to preliminar­y Arkansas State Police fatality reports.

Donna Moore and Jerry Moore of Black Rock died in an accident on U.S. 67 south of Swifton, according to a report.

Jerry Moore, 70, drove his 2007 Ford Expedition off the road’s right side and overcorrec­ted, losing control of the vehicle.

It started rotating counterclo­ckwise across both traffic lanes, flipped over and overturned into the ditch, the report said.

Donna Moore, 66, was ejected from the vehicle.

Passengers Eli Richey, 7 months old, and Brian Richey, 4, were injured in the accident, according to the report.

Their medical conditions were unavailabl­e Sunday evening.

About 12:30 p.m., Dorothy Garley, 50, of Bethany, Okla., died on Interstate 40 eastbound in Lonoke County, a report said.

According to a report, Garley was driving her 1999 Chevrolet Malibu east when she left the roadway, entered the median and struck several trees.

Garley was pronounced dead at the scene by Lonoke County Coroner Sherry Stracener, the report said.

At 10: 20 p. m., Michael Williams, 43, of Warren was killed after his westbound vehicle left Bradley County Road 34 and struck a tree, a report said.

The vehicle then overturned.

Passenger Cynthia Williams, 38, of Warren was injured in the accident, according to the report. She was taken to Bradley County Medical Center.

Her medical condition was unavailabl­e Sunday evening.
