Regarding playing time for quarterbacks …

Sarkk wrote: If we lose to Tennessee, do we sit (Brandon) Allen and start playing our future QBs?

Doghog wrote: With two SEC losses we are more than likely out of the SECCG picture. Starting (Austin Allen) or (Rafe Peavy) for the rest of the season would be the logical choice.

BigJohnHog wrote: I can’t believe what I have read in this thread. You think ESPN is laughing at Arkansas now?

Brodger wrote: So. The defense gets a free pass? The penalties don’t count? I think some of you are so full of dislike for BA that you can’t see past your narrow noses. I have watched all the games and I have yet to see BA play defense or kick a field goal or hold on game changing plays. But yet here we are again blaming him for yet another loss. LOL. Best laugh I’ve had today. Thanks.

Buckhog wrote: BA is having a great season. But, he can’t do it all. The problem with being a QB, any mistake is magnified. I would turn on (coach Bret Bielema) if he benched BA right now. But, he ain’t a gonna do it. There are still games to be played. … 9-and-3 and a SEC championship are still on the table. That’s my plan. Which is subject to change at any time.

Regarding fans’ impressions of the team …

Bikehog23 wrote: A different perspective: Maybe we are a good team. Toledo is 3-0. Texas Tech lost to No. 3 TCU on a fluke play at the end of the game. Otherwise, they would be undefeated. … and Texas A&M is undefeated. The Hogs were one play away from beating both Toledo and A&M. They were a couple of plays away from beating Texas Tech. So, my point is that perhaps we aren’t giving enough credit to the opposition.

Superhawgfan wrote: I like the

way you think!

daBoar wrote: I would say the Hogs are a potentially good team playing extremely poorly, lacking the coaching and execution to prevent the snatching of wins for losses.

Complaints about officiating in the Texas A&M game ….

NEastArkie wrote: … I haven’t seen too many people post about them: the penalties against A&M that weren’t called. My son-in-law was screaming at the TV for the hold by A&M on the long pass at the end of the game that put them in position to tie the game. I didn’t see it, but this was the same play (Bielema) referred to in his presser. We can moan about some of the phantom penalties against us, but it really upsets me if the game isn’t called evenly …

And don’t tell me officials didn’t cost us the ballgame. Yeah, they did. We did some things that also cost us the game, but when a game is decided by just one of any number of plays, it’s completely fair to say that play or that call cost us the game. It’s frustrating.

Razorwill wrote: I know I’m a homer, but Arkansas gets hosed by SEC officials. I’m glad Coach B brings it up. I wish our athletic director would raise a ruckus. … SEC refs protect the higher ranked team, and it wouldn’t surprise me if that was a directive from the home office …

ClayHenry wrote: All of those plays were brought up to the supervisor of officials by Bielema. He was pretty upset about several of those calls.

Regarding Arkansas’ offensive philosophy …

Piggybacker wrote: Who thinks we need to switch to the spread?

Eaglehog5 wrote: Only if switching to the spread significantly reduces dumb penalties and short-armed throws at critical times.

Mikepyn wrote: Yeah, let’s put more emphasis on the QB position!

JGAGE wrote: We are not asking for much, just a Russell Wilson type player. I don’t care what we do offensively just as along as it attracts athletes to run it and, most importantly, we score. College football has changed. You have got to score and have the playmakers to do it.

Hog74 wrote: It’s as though we’re playing a 21st century game using 20th century strategy.

Predictions for the Arkansas Tennessee game today ….

Porkdiet wrote: Tennessee 35,

Hogs 28.

Georgiahawg wrote: I have had a few sips of Koolaid this week and starting to feel a little better about the Hogs’ future. Arkansas 31, Tennessee 21. Not sure how the rain will affect the outcome, but hoping we pound them into submission and play cleaner football.

Bobrog4 wrote: Hogs 31,

Tennessee 28.

Bakedog19741 wrote: You realize that’s within seven points. Coach Bret Bielema and Brandon Allen are 0-9 in games decided by seven points or less. I’ll flip your score — Tennessee 31, Arkansas 28 — and hope you’re right.
