Georgia could set itself up for an undefeated run to the Southeastern Conference championship game by beating the Crimson Tide. The only other currently ranked opponent left on the Bulldogs’ schedule is No. 25 Florida. Alabama, which has won four of the last six SEC titles, can’t afford another conference setback after losing at home to Mississippi two weeks ago.

Key matchup

Georgia RB Nick Chubb vs. Alabama’s front seven. Chubb has rushed for more than 100 yards in 12 straight games and ranks second in the SEC with 599 yards this season. It will be difficult to keep that streak alive against an Alabama front that is surrendering a conference-best 56.8 yards per game on the ground.

Players to watch

Alabama: RB Derrick Henry will likely need to put up big rushing numbers against a Georgia defense that has looked vulnerable at times, especially in light of QB Jake Coker’s shaky performance through the first four games, which includes four interceptions.

Georgia: QB Greyson Lambert completed 33 of 35 passes over the last two games, calming Bulldog fans who wondered if a guy who lost the starting job at Virginia was good enough to lead their program.
