Hypocrisy on display

The cognitive dissonance, moral relativism and hyper-hypocrisy of the average mindless liberal (not all of them are that way) are all on full display in Blane Wilhite’s sexist rant. The all-feel, no-think set sees no problem with attacking the intelligence of a beautiful woman—if she’s conservative. They want everyone to be free to think and feel as they wish—as long as they feel and think just like the rest of the leftist sheep do.

Megyn Kelly, and indeed most of the female anchors on Fox News, is a well-educated, accomplished young woman. The possibility occurs to me that many self-avowed lefties absolutely must outwardly claim to be in favor of women and minority rights to provide themselves cover for their true beliefs. The paternalistic views toward protected groups, I’d wager, is a façade overlaying deep-seated elitism, sexism and racism. But, hey, as long as you can look in the mirror and feel good about yourself, you’re good.

Lastly, I believe to hold John Brummett up as the arbiter of anything other than Demo-liberal schlock is to reach the utmost heights of intellectual bankruptcy. While I disagree with him almost 100 percent of the time, I have no problem with Brummett’s honest views of the world. But to falsely position his leftist views as the only sane norm while dismissing voices from the right is the chief problem with people like Blane. It’s very clear that most of the unthinkingly Democrat already do give Charles Krauthammer a complete pass. Troubling their echo-chamber-established, preprogrammed views of things only gives them a headache or makes them feel “threatened” in the empty “safe space” between their ears.

There is, though, one thing Blane wrote upon which I can heartily agree: Semper Fi! STEVE BLEVINS
