Prison guard pay

Many of the state prison system’s correctional officers received pay raises as of July 1. Their salaries were raised in hopes of encouraging more of them to stay longer. The chart below shows the annual salary per rank at each type of prison. Prisons are tagged according to security level; Tier 1 is minimum security and Tier 4 is the highest.
