UCA runs at Texas A&M

The Central Arkansas men finished eighth and the women finished 12th at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas.

Sophomore Markus Schweikert led the Bears with a 19th-place finish, covering the 8,000-meter course in a time of 25 minutes, 3.86 seconds.

Host Texas A&M won the event with 33 points, while UCA was eighth out of 15 teams with 221 points.

On the women’s side, senior Brigette Caruthers finished 34th over the 6,000-meter course in a time of 21:55.45 as UCA was 12th out of 17 teams. Rice won the event with 70 points while UCA had 315.
