Hendrix women fall at Birmingham-Southern

Hendrix women lost its Southern Athletic Association opener 2-1 in overtime to Birmingham-Southern on Saturday in Birmingham, Ala.

Hendrix’s Sydney Fobrae rebounded Hagan Griffith’s shot in the 58th minute to tie the game 1-1. With 1:01 left in overtime, Taylor Andrews scored on a long shot from the top of the middle of the box for the game-winning goal.

Hendrix (7-3, 0-1) outshot Birmingham-Southern (4-5, 1-0) 19-15 and had a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
