Number of students meeting campus carry age requirement

A re-worked bill in the state legislature would allow concealed carry permit holders 25 and older to carry on campus if they complete additional training. As of fall 2016, ten public colleges and universities in the state had more than 1,000 students 25 and older. Large research universities made up the top three schools with the largest population of older students.
