Preventing erosion
Levi Vaughn (left) and Jackson Redman, both sophomores at Greenland High School, help plant trees Tuesday along the streambank of Ward Slough in Greenland. Through the Beaver Watershed Alliance and the design from Sean Saunders with Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, volunteers planted native trees and shrubs along the bank of the White River tributary to help prevent further erosion and provide food and habitat for wildlife.
