AVO CA — Mary Margaret Letteer, 89, of Avoca, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. She was preceded in death by husband, Gene A. Letteer and two sons, Gene, Jr. and James Letteer. Survivors; daughter, Mary Smith of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Charles Letteer of Azle, Texas; sister, Dorothy Satterfiel­d; and three grandchild­ren, Garold LaRue III, Winn LaRue and Gene Alexander Letteer. CENTERTON — Forrest “Chip” Bailey Jr., age 58, passed away in Bentonvill­e, Ark., on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Chip was born July 27, 1958, in Houston, Texas, to Forrest ( Frosty) and Zola ( Mullen) Bailey. He was a resident of Centerton, Ark., after living in Houston and New York City.

He was a retired Houston Texas Firefighte­r and recently retired Assistant Baseball Coach at McDonald County High School. He had a passion for life and loved his family. He spent many hours working to coach baseball from the T-ball level to High School. He was described by friends and family as having a “servant heart”.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Regina Stracener Bailey of Centerton, Ark., two sons; Forrest A. Bailey III (Gretchen) of Spring, Texas, and Craig A. Bailey of Fayettevil­le, Ark., his father, Forrest Bailey of Montgomery, Texas; sisters, Marsha Barbaria (Richie) of Fort Myers, Fla.; Debbie Clift (Randy) of Montgomery, Texas; Mother-in-law, Wilma Stracener of Houston, and Step-grandson, Cowan Adams of Spring, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, Rogers, Ark., with Pastor Jamie Lantzsch officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

FAYETTEVIL­LE — Kenneth Alan George, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, in Fayettevil­le. He was born on April 27, 1953, in Stockton, Calif., to Alden and Argel Pruitt George.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Casandra George; his sister, Sue Robinson; and his brother, Eldon George.

He loved his family, vintage cars, and NASCAR racing. He retired from the Fayettevil­le public school system after serving 27 years as a bus mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Patty George of the home; his daughter, Rachel George; his sister, Carolyn Brown and husband Dennis of Springdale; his three nieces, Debby Corwin and husband Monroe, Sherry Robinson, and Logan George; his two nephews, Dann Brown and wife Jennifer, and Jimmy Dale Robinson, Jr., and wife Donna; his two great-nieces, Mindy Corwin and Larkin George; and one great-nephew, Lucas George.

PRAIRIE GROVE —Joe D wayne“J. D .” Doshier, age 57, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at his home. Dwayne was born Jan. 20, 1960, in Yellville, Ark., to the late Claude and D o ra Ja n e (Wickersham) Doshier.

He was employed by Tyson Foods as a Refrigerat­ion Tech Supervisor for 20 years, and later worked as a project manager for Central Research. He graduated in 1978 from Yellville-Summit High School.

Mr. Doshier is survived by his wife Deanna of the home; one stepson, Josh Scott of Prairie Grove, Ark.; one stepdaught­er, Jennifer Lowery and her husband, Mike, of Farmington, Ark.; five grandchild­ren: Jordan Holloway, Jasmine Scott, Jericho Lowery, Noah Scott, and Luke Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Sam; and his sisterin-law, Wanda.

Visitation for Dwayne Doshier will be Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, from 1 p.m. until service time at Roller-Burns Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville, Ark. Interment will follow at Wickersham Cemetery near Yellville.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Anita Mae Lemons, 79, a resident of Siloam Springs, passed from this life on Feb. 21, 2017, at her home. She was born March 19, 1937, in Antlers, Okla., to Henry and Dora Holder. SPRING DALE— Stephen Lowry Taylor, age 64, a resident of Springdale, Ark., passed from this life on Feb. 21, 2017, in Fayettevil­le. He was born Feb. 21, 1953, in Russellvil­le, Ark., to Joseph Elmer and Patricia (Lowry) Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Stephen’s family was extremely important to him. He will always be remembered as a loving husband and devoted father.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Leigh (Goodman) Taylor; his mother, Patricia Taylor; his children, Spencer Taylor and his wife Tatiana, Stuart Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Catrina Taylor, and Ryan Taylor; his siblings, Susan Kincannon, David Taylor, and Jonathan Taylor.

KNOB NOSTER, Mo. — Johnnie Lee Allred went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb., 19, 2017. He was born in Osage, Ark., July 16, 1937, to Booker Euclid and Bess i e Grace (Smith) Allred.

His early years were spent around the Osage area until he was 14. At that time he left home for California where his brother Troy lived. He worked as a farm laborer until he entered the Air Force in November 1955.

He was stationed in France for several years and while there married Colette M V Cammerates in 1959 and they had three children. Vehicle maintenanc­e was his duty and he had a knack for diagnosing any vehicle problem.

The military was their life and they were stationed at various bases, coming to Whiteman AFB in 1969 in Knob Noster. He retired from the Air Force in 1975.

In 1972 he built Allred Auto Sales & Service in Knob Noster and operated that business until 2005. At that time he moved the business to his home and operated there until 2010. He loved anything automotive and restored several tractors during his life. He was meticulous about them and they always looked and ran good.

He was also a member of the Lions and the Gideons. In 1993 he married Janell who survives of the home. She worked alongside him in the automotive business and was a teacher for 20 years; retiring last year to be home with him.

Survivors include his wife, daughter Chantal and husband Victor Ross, daughter, Jackie and husband Les Maples, and son, Pat and wife Janice. Grandchild­ren Clint, Victor II, Tristan Ross; Jenny Gibbs and Blake Maples; and Hilary Umbles, Casey, Brady, PJ Allred and 10 great-grandchild­ren that loved their GPoppy. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Chancie and Troy and sister Betty Jo.

Pallbearer­s are Clint Ross, Victor Ross II, Tristan Ross, Blake Maples, Kevin Gibbs, and Michael Hudiburg. Services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in Liberty, Ark., on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. with burial in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsf­uneralhome. net of Huntsville, Ark. A memorial will be held in Knob Noster at a later date.

EDMOND, Okla. — Naomi I. Varner, 87, of Edmond, Okla., died Feb. 19, 2017, in Edmond. She was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Kingston, Ark., to Virgil Allen and Jesse Jewel Combs Weathers.

Naomi retired from the Civil Service. She enjoyed bowling and baking cookies for her grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Varner. She is survived by one son, Duke Dotson and wife Donna of New Braunfels, Texas, two daughters, Chury Bennight and husband Bill of Jacksonvil­le, N.C., and Cathryn Relyea and husband Regan of Edmond, Okla., one sister, Billie McGuire of Fayettevil­le, sister-in-law, Bettie Weathers of Fayettevil­le. Nine grandchild­ren, 20 great-grandchild­ren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiatin­g. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
