Fort Smith, 1943

St. Scholastica’s Academy was erected in 1929 by the Benedictine Sisters at a cost of $225,000. Although its uses have changed over the decades, it remains a Fort Smith landmark and a testament to the Roman Catholic heritage of Arkansas.
