SCOUTS EARN EAGLE AWARDS

Brody Dobson and Benjamin Richardson, both 18, received their Eagle Scout awards at a Court of Honor held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fayetteville. The Eagle Scout award is the highest recognition that scouting offers to Scouts. The wearer of the award is the epitome of Scouting’s best efforts and beliefs.

Richardson, who has been active in the Arts Live Theater, chose for his Eagle project to provide a props room for the theater, complete with various storage options for keeping props organized. Shelving for his project was donated by the Fayetteville Public Library. Richardson supervised the assembly of storage units, organization of props and developed a procedure to keep prop materials organized.

Dobson loves camping and outdoor activities. For his Eagle Scout project, he chose to build a fire pit at a private campground which is open to Scouts and other groups. Dobson was responsible for obtaining materials and supervising the labor to assemble the fire ring.
