Armbrust went home to be with his heavenly Savior on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, joining his beloved wife, Pat Armbrust, who recently predeceased him.
Ronnie, known as “Big Pop” to his family, was vice president of construction estimating for Lindsey Construction Company for over 30 years. He attended Louisiana State University, majoring in architectural engineering, followed by transfers to the University of Arkansas and UALR, where he received a degree in business.
He entered the construction industry as a partner in his father’s firm, E.E. Armbrust and Sons in North Little Rock. Ronnie specialized in the home building and commercial construction industries, building numerous Taco Bells throughout the South.
Ron was a spiritual and steadfast man, known for his servant’s heart and faithful adherence to his principles. Always true to his word, he was unwavering in his walk with the Lord and loyalty to his family and friends. He was born April 27, 1941, in North Little Rock, Ark., the son of E.E. and Ruby Armbrust.
He is survived by children Dave Armbrust of Fayetteville; Druanne Stockland and husband Jim of Fayetteville; and, grandchildren, Ashley Porter and husband Ryne; Sara Beth and husband Mark Wright, and Brock Stockland all of Fayetteville; brother, Joe Armbrust of North Little Rock, and sister, Ruby Jean Schalchin of Conway. He will also be survived by a soonto-be-born great-granddaughter, Charlee Katherine Porter, whom he already loved and was so excited about!
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Friday, April 21 at 1 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home on Crossover Road in Fayetteville. Dress is requested to be casual. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering at the Elk’s

FAYETTEVILLE —
Gregory Flowers, 60, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Springdale. He was born Feb. 16, 1957, in Fayetteville to George and Josie Flowers. He was preceded in death by his father.
Gregory was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity; was co-owner of Bullpen BBQ and he formed and coached a city league basketball team named the Train Gang.
He is survived by his mother, Josie Flowers of Fayetteville; sons, Spencer Flowers of Fayetteville, Darnelle (Lindsey) Flowers of Denver, Colo., Monty ( Stephanie) Flowers of Fayetteville and Johnathan (Sarah) Flowers of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Alexa Flowers of Fayetteville; a brother, George Flowers of Farmington; a sister, Tommie (Lawrence) Davis of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Beard’s Chapel with Gary Noble officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Cemetery under the direction of Beard’s Chapel. FAYETTEVILLE — Janis
E. Johnson, age 73, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Fayetteville. She was born May 29, 1943, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Joseph Clint and Mamey Mayes Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Earl Johnson and her parents. She was a licensed practical nurse, having worked at several nursing homes and Washington Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Lorna Floerke of Fayetteville; three grandsons, Joseph Floerke, Josiah Floerke and Jacob Floerke all of Fayetteville; a brother, Lee Hulen Ferguson and his wife Linda of Goshen; three nephews, one niece and numerous other family members.

Eugene Osborn, 85, of Garfield, departed this life April 15, a t Cox South Hospital, Springf ield, Mo. , after suffering a massive stroke while vacationing in Branson with dear friends.
He was born Feb. 17, 1932, at Elk Falls, Kan., to Charles Martin Osborn and Ida Mae Bennett Osborn. Cecil attended school in Elk Falls and graduated from Elk Falls High School in 1950. He then attended Independence Junior College for two years. In 1952 in enlisted in the U.S. Navy for four years.
In the fall of 1956 he went to work at Boeing in Wichita, Kan., until he was laid off in 1971. Cecil then worked for Precision Contours in Wichita which only lasted a short time. In 1972 he was employed by Tweco Products until his retirement in 1995.
He was an avid fisherman, attended Lost Bridge Community Church and is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Osborn; four sisters, Bessie Royce, Helen Cooley, Viola Barnett, and Barbara Sanders.
He married Mary McAlister Osborn from rural Moline, Kan., in 1957 who survives; two sons, Martin “Marty” Osborn (Debbie) of Clayton, N.C., and Randy Osborn (Sheree) of Rago, Kan.; a daughter, Cathy Ostmeyer of Rogers; seven grandchildren, Casi Ebbing & Jason, Justin Osborn & Andrea, Bryant Zimmerman & Kylie, Kyle Lee Osborn & Val, Cody Osborn, Quinlyn Ostmeyer, and Daniel Osborn; and one great-grandchild.
Service is set for 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, at Lost Bridge Community Church with Rev. Hugh Wagner officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 am. before the service begins. HORSESHOE BEND — Catherine McClain
Billingsley, age 62, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., passed away, Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Aug. 24, 1954, daughter of the late Mary Estelle (Sullivan) and Harry Nelson McClain.
Catherine was united in marriage to Dean Billingsley on Aug. 19, 1978, at Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, Ark., and from this union two children were born. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, cousin, aunt, teacher and friend. Catherine worked for Izard County Consolidated Schools first as a third and fifth grade teacher and then as a reading counselor for 30 years. She was a longtime member of The Eagle’s in Horseshoe Bend, the Arkansas Education Association, and of the Methodist faith.
Catherine is survived by her husband, Dean Billingsley of the home; daugher, Kiah Billingsley-Eull and husband Jeremy of Mayflower, Ark.; son, Seth Billingsley and wife Krista of Laurel, Md.; brothers, Charles McClain of Lee, N.H., and Chris McClain of Cambridge, Ill.; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary McClain and sister, Carole Lita McClain-Goewert.

Frank Crouch, 77, of Prairie Grove passed away April 18, 2017. He was born April 6, 1940, to Leon and Elsie Wiles Crouch. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta. Frank is survived by his step-children, Hazel Fleshman (Tyrone), Richard Coleman, James Coleman (Tina), Stella Coleman (Bryan) and Teresa Phillips ( Stephen); and numerous grandkids and great-grandkids. ROGERS — Norma Jene
McBride Rodgers of Rogers died on April 13, 2017. She was born on June 9, 1931, in Garfield to the late Ella and James Edward McBride.
Norma attended Garfield High School, where she played on the girls’ basketball team. She spent most of her working years at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Rogers. Although she enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos, she never wanted to live anywhere but Rogers.
Norma is survived by her daughters, Lynn Rodgers of Little Rock and Tammy Rodgers of Greer, S.C.; son-in-law, Al Swanson; grandchildren, Cara and Taylor Swanson; sister, Edna Roller; aunt, Ellen Hughes; many nieces and nephews; her “third daughter” and closest friend, Jerri Cooper; and her dog, Mitzi. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Otha Rodgers; and her second husband, Edward Holler.
A celebration of Norma’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, at First Christian Church, 905 S. 13th St., Rogers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Christian Church Food Pantry, the Humane Society, or Habitat for Humanity.
SELIGMAN, Mo. — Mark
Shipman, 49, of Seligman, Mo . , died April 18 in his home.
Mark was a Baptist believer. He served nine years in the Army National Guard and was deployed during the Desert Storm Conflict. Mark enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by: his mother, Shirley Townsend, brother, William Shipman, and two nieces. Survivors; sisters; Teresa Taylor, Deborah Arducan, Cynthia Oxford, Julie Cook, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service: 1 p.m., Thursday, April 27 at Epting Funeral Home Bentonville.
