My favorite space is: my home office.
Why? In case you have not heard, I’m a weather geek. Besides making coffee in the kitchen, my day always starts in my home office. Arkansas weather is like a great book you can’t put down. I’m excited to fire up the computer each morning to see what the weather models are saying. There are twists and turns with almost every piece of data I read and trying to figure out what will happen is a great challenge I enjoy daily. Once I get a better understanding of what may unfold, I love sharing it on social media. On KATV, I’m only allowed about three minutes to give a forecast. However, I utilize the unlimited time on the Arkansas Weather Blog and Facebook Live to explain how the weather will affect Arkansans. My office iMac is probably my favorite toy in what I call the “Channel 7 Weather Center West.” It has all the programs and pieces of software I use to illustrate the fascinating aspects of Arkansas weather.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: I love my setup so much, there really isn’t much I would change. My next project will likely involve better camera and production equipment to improve the quality of my Facebook Live and Arkansas Weather Blog posts.
