Washington Regional Home Health Supports Patients Recovering at Home

Washington Regional Home Health works with patients, physicians, family members, caregivers and community support programs to provide for some healthcare needs at home, where patients are likely to be more comfortabl­e, happier and can recuperate more quickly. Working closely with the patient’s doctor, Washington Regional Home Health develops an individual­ized care plan that can include:

• A comprehens­ive assessment of patient’s needs • Education about patient’s condition and suggestion­s to prevent more serious issues • Disease management • Nutrition education • Home safety evaluation­s • Monitoring vital signs; managing medication­s • Wound care and intravenou­s medication administra­tion The Washington Regional Home Health staff includes more than 40 healthcare profession­als, including: • Registered nurses • Physical therapists • Occupation­al therapists • Speech pathologis­ts • Medical social workers

In addition, Washington Regional Home Health aides are available to assist with activities of daily living, personal care, bathing and catheter care.

Washington Regional Home Health services can be obtained through an order from the patient’s physician and are available throughout Washington, Benton, Carroll and Madison counties. The patient need not have received prior care at a Washington Regional clinic or facility. Washington Regional Home Health is a Medicare and Medicaid certi ed home health service, and is a provider for most health insurance plans.
