WASHINGTON COUNTY
Victory Full Gospel Church in Fayetteville, 1555 John Miller Road, hosts a revival Sunday through May 20. The revival begins at 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday to Friday. Special performances are planned for each Saturday, and a meal is served. The Singing Minstrels perform May 13, and the Shiloh Singers (Charlie George and his band) on May 20. Information: 301-4355. Mount Sequoyah Assembly in Fayetteville, 150 N. Skyline Drive, offers the “Awaken” wellness and yoga festival today and Sunday. In addition to yoga classes, sessions include a juicing workshop and a mala-making workshop. Cost is $55 for one day or $100 for both days, with lunch included. “The Kid Zone” is free.
Mount Sequoyah presents Craig Hill, dean of the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, speaking May 15-16. Cost for commuters is $75 a person and includes meals. Overnight accommodations also are available.

Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 1910 N. Old Wire Road, presents “Navigating the Path to Retirement.” The series concludes Monday, with Sara Bartlett, a senior care consultant, speaking on housing stability. There is no charge, but reservations are requested. Childcare is available.

Bible Reading Ministry International, based in Green Forest, presents the eighth annual Carroll County Bible Reading Marathon, running from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Thursday. Closing ceremonies are planned for 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with presentations, prayers and music by Jess Roediger, co-founder of Bible Reading Ministry International; Juan Rodriguez, a chaplain with Tyson Foods; Arkansas Sen. Bryan King; Bob Perkins of Gideons International; and Beth Severe of Aviation Cadet World museum in Eureka Springs.

BENTON COUNTY
Living Word Lutheran Church in Rogers, meeting at the Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary’s, 1200 Walnut St., announces the Rev. Richard Solberg has been appointed to serve as interim pastor. He will preach his first sermon for the church at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Solberg recently completed an interim pastorate at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fayetteville. He served as pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers from 19741995 and the United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista. Solberg also served churches in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Bali, Indonesia; Salzburg, Austria; Oslo, Norway; and as a chaplain with the Holland America Cruise Line.

Hudson Road, celebrates the confirmation of five young adults, who will give testimonies of their faith at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and participate in the Rite of Confirmation. Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., presents the Teen Challenge Choir sharing songs and stories of freedom from addiction at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A grilled meal with potluck side dishes starts at 5:30 p.m.

Bentonville Church of the Nazarene, 220 N.W. A St., hosts the “Compassion Experience” by Compassion International, a Christian child-development organization that works to release children from poverty. The 1,700-square-foot exhibit space will be set up in the church parking lot through Monday. Visitors will take self-guided journeys into replicas of the homes and environments of two Compassion beneficiaries in Guatemala and Uganda. Compassion serves more than 1.8 million children in 25 countries.

First United Methodist Church in Rogers, 307 W. Elm St., presents The Voices of Resurrection singing with the local chancel choir during worship services at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The 32-member, auditioned, choir comes from the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kan. Kevin Bogan, formerly of Fayetteville, is the music director.
