ROGERS — Murvin Ray Goff of Rogers passed away on May 20, 2017. He was born on Jan. 25, 1936, to the late Charles and Ethlyn Goff.

Murvin was an Army veteran who went on to work as a civilian employee for the Navy, and for OSHA, as a chemist. He then worked as an analytical chemist for Kennametal. He was the loving husband of Lona Goff for 44 years until her death in 2008.

Murvin is survived by his children, Morris “Mo” Goff and husband Shawn Brandon of Arnold, Md., Lora Noschese and husband Carl of Rogers, Stuart Goff and wife Machelle of Rogers; grandchild­ren, Ted, Emma, Coty, Matthew, Brittany; two great-grandchild­ren; and a brother, Virgil Goff. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two siblings, Charlyn Blaylock, and Roger Goff.

Visitation will be from 10-noon on Tuesday, May 23, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Buttram’s Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge.

SILOAM SPRINGS — George Preston Harmon,

45 year old resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died May 18, 2017, in Siloam Springs. Born May 20, 1971, in Fayettevil­le, Ark., he was the son of George Glen Harmon and Velma Faye Sanders Woods. Preston graduated high school and had a drafting certificat­e from NTI. He married Jessica Lynn Abshire on Nov. 2, 1999, in Bentonvill­e, Ark. Preston worked for many years at Wal-Mart. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lincoln, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessica Lynn Harmon; and two brothers, Douglas Marion and Christophe­r Lee Marion.

He is survived by four daughters, Dylana Tilley of Siloam Springs, Shanda Harmon of Siloam Springs, Samantha Harmon of Decatur, Ark., and Savannah “Birdie” Harmon of Lincoln, Ark.; his mother, Velma Woods and husband Walter Lee of Jane, Mo.; his father, George Glen Harmon and his ex-wife Rhonda Koontz of Winslow, Ark.; seven grandchild­ren, Olivia Garcia, Xavier Garcia, Staley Sewell, Kaylee Sewell, Matthew Sewell Jr., Timzee Jackson, and Ty Jackson; and 16 siblings.
