Trump has fulfilled many campaign promises

-

In his letter to the editor of June 3, Bass Trumbo made so many errors I can only cover a few of them here.

To begin with, he stated President Trump “in fact, has not fulfilled any of his campaign promises.” Let me bring him up to date. Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Change deal that would have cost the USA more than $3 trillion over the next decade and left the two biggest polluters, China and India, to continue on without any diminution of pollutants. Both countries continue to build new coalfired plants at an alarming rate.

He pulled out of the Trans-Pacific partnership trade deal. He installed a lifetime ban on government officials lobbying on behalf of foreign governments. He installed a five-year ban on government officials becoming lobbyists. He ordered a reversal of Obama’s ban on offshore oil drilling and is reviewing all limits on drilling locations. He ordered a review of all national monuments designations, so the government could not “take” private property. He ordered a hiring freeze for all government employees, excepting the military. He revived the Keystone pipeline, which Obama had sat on for several years. He revived the Dakota Access pipeline. He initiated a temporary travel ban to the USA from countries which had no proper vetting procedures (blocked by liberal judges, but will now go before the Supreme Court). In response to a chemical weapon attack by Syrian government airplanes on civilians, he ordered 59 Tomahawk missiles to destroy the base in which those planes were based. He dropped the most powerful non-nuclear bomb (MOAB) on an ISIS stronghold, killing 93 Jihadis.

Furthermore, on another positive note, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ have all reached all-time highs under the Trump plan to reduce taxes, do away with the medical disaster known as Obamacare, and bring off-shore earnings back to America.

Maybe this will install some truth in the aforementioned letter.
