More Blues

Also returning to Northwest Arkansas is another long-running blues festival — the Eureka Springs Blues Weekend. A fundraiser for Turpentine Creek Wildlife Rescue, the weekend will see up-and-comers as well as award-winning blues acts all over Eureka Springs, including on the Festival Stage at the Wildlife Rescue itself. Headlining this year’s event is the high energy performer Victor Wainwright — the 2016 winner of one of the blues world’s most prestigious awards, the BB King Entertainer of the Year. Wainwright (pictured above) and his band The Wildroots packed the Barefoot Ballroom at the 1905 Basin Park Hotel during the 2013 Blues Weekend, and now they’re back for two late night performances today.
