Tyson Foods plant earns safety award

Tyson Foods’ Randall Wobbe Cornish Plant at 671 W. Randall Wobbe Lane in Springdale earned the 15 Million Man Hour Safety Award.

The plant’s 350 employees accumulated 15 million work hours without a lost day of work due to a work-related injury or illness between Feb. 26, 1999, and May 6, 2017.

The Arkansas Department of Labor, the Arkansas Insurance Department and the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission offer the award to state companies that excel in on-the-job safety.
