Let us walk the path

Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette - - VOICES -

This above all, to the Democratic Party be true, then as follows the night the day, thou canst not then be false to what really is honorable, decent, fair and the right path to democracy. And humility. Ah yes, humbleness is next to godliness in the political arena.

Has he apologized for all of the reported dastardly deeds throughout his whole life? Nope. His treatment of women is just “locker room talk” … his treatment of small-business people, well, that’s the “art of the deal” … his treatment of minorities, well, they’re inferior beings, so what’s the problem here? After all, he’s a star and everyone knows that a star gets to behave like a thug and get away with it. Otherwise, where’s the fun in wearing the crown? What’s the point of being on top if you don’t get to stomp those on bottom?

But is this democracy?

Let us all walk the path of Do Unto Others. Let us share what we have equally. Let us all take responsibility for building up one another, for repairing our country, for healing the planet and the collective human soul.

We are all stars if we shine collectively for one another. MARIANNE BEASLEY
