Black Lillies play Stickyz; Bret Michaels in Hot Springs
The Black Lillies will perform at 8 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack. Admission is $10.
The Black Lillies were founded in 2009 by Cruz Contreras, who formerly led the band Robinella and the CCStringband (which performed at Stickyz a decade ago). Contreras started his new band after he and Robinella, the previous band’s lead singer, divorced.
His latest group has released four albums — Whiskey Angel in May 2009, 100 Miles of Wreckage in February 2011, Runaway Freeway Blues in March 2013 and Hard to Please in October 2015.

Michaels first became notorious as the lead singer of Poison, a band from Mechanicsburg, Pa., prominent for a decade starting in the mid-1980s. In 2012, the VH1 cable network ranked it No. 1 on their list of the “Top Five Hair Bands of the ’80s.”
Michaels, 54, has built a subsequent career as a reality TV performer and actor in movie and TV shows.
