Turf trimming
Alejandro Perez trims the rough ends of artificial turf Thursday as a crew from Symmetry Turf Sports Field Construction of Mount Pleasant, Texas, replaces the playing surface at Rogers High School’s Whitey Smith Stadium. The old turf was 10 years old and at the end of its useful lifespan, according to Dan Caley, Rogers Public Schools director of facilities. The indoor practice field at Heritage High School has also received new turf as part of the project.
