■ Comparatively few people in Arkansas realize that in our own state there is a girls’ school which attracts each year students from 15 to 20 different states. With little discussion, the Conway City Council voted 8-0 Tuesday night to approve an ordinance requiring mobile ice-cream vendors to obtain city permits. Alderman David Grimes, the father of three young children, has stated concerns about the possibility of a child being kidnapped by someone in a moving vehicle.
